The Callaghan Valley, with its expansive terrain and high vertical drops, is a prime backcountry ski touring destination. An hour or two of climbing can lead to those stellar, smooth runs through deeppowder that only the few who know the magic pull of ski touring ever have the chance to appreciate. There are numerous popular runs and treks based out of Callaghan Country’s backcountry lodge that can give some of the best days or partial days of ski touring available on our planet, whether you are looking for steeper or easier runs.

Elevation Gain: 980m + per day

Terrain: Simple to Complex

Ratio: 6:1

Prerequisites: Strong intermediate skier/boarder comfortable on blue runs, abble to link turns in variable snow conditions. AST level 1 course is an asset. Good fitness level.

Cost: $ 990 per person + 5% GST

Rentals: Backcountry skis/splitboard, avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel available at a prefered rate.

Includes: Parking, trail passes, snowmobile transportation to the lodge, luggage transfers, overnight accommodation at Callaghan Country Lodge
- All meals: Day of check-in: lunch, Après-ski appetizers and a 4-course dinner, Full lodge days: Continental breakfast, bagged lunch, après-ski appetizers and a 4-course dinner, Day of check-out: Continental breakfast and bagged lunch, Non-alcoholic beverages (coffee, tea, milk, juice & hot chocolate – please note we do not serve soda but you are welcome to bring your own)
- 3 days of direct guiding/instructions by professional certified guides
- Use of Journeyman Lodge’s very own Scandinavian sauna

Full payment is required upon booking this programs. Cancellations and changes to bookings must be made in writing (email, fax, mail) or by phone to Coast Mountain Guides and are not considered canceled until acknowledged by return email or phone call by Coast Mountain Guides. You can cancel for a 100% refund with 30 days of notice for any reason. Cancellations made 30 days or less to program start will result in forfeiture of the full amount. We highly suggest that you purchase trip cancellation and travel medical insurance to avoid penalties related to a change in plans or injury. We take payments with Visa, MC, Amex, bank transfer and Paypal invoice.
