Rock Climbing Level 4 – Rescue

Our rock climbing programs are design for students to progress from learning the basics of climbing in Rock Level 1, to more advanced ropes and rescue skills in Rock Level 4. In this course, our goal is to learn the essential skills for possible rescue scenarios while climbing.  

Learning Outcome:

  • Review of level 1,2,3
  • Escaping the belay
  • Rescue rappels
  • Rescue hauling systems
  • Ascending the rope and rescue scenarios

Location: Squamish, Smoke Bluffs
Duration: 6 hours
Distance: Up to 45min approach
Terrain: Well maintained trails
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
Ratio: 6 to 1
Prerequisites: Good fitness level

Meet at Squamish Adventure Centre parking lot
Start:
8.30am
Finish: 3.00pm

What to bring?

Lunch, water, climbing shoes and good trail running shoes. Dress for the outdoor, sunglasses, sunscreen and your climbing gear if you have some.

What’s provided?

Harness and helmets, ropes and climbing gear for practice
